- Arm
- This term is used when a player temporarily changes the odds of the game through his exceptional ability (luck?) to throw the dice.
- Betting Right
- When you're betting with the shooter of the dice.
- Betting Wrong
- When you're betting against the shooter of the dice.
- Big Red
- Another name for an Any 7 Bet.
- Boxcars
- When a 12 hits.
- Capped Dice
- The dice are loaded or crooked.
- Cold Dice
- Dice that fail to pass too often.
- Cold Table
- A table where the players lose a lot.
- Coming out
- When the shooter is about to make the come-out roll.
- Craps Out
- When the shooter hits 2, 3 or 12 on the come-out roll.
- Easy Way
- When the total number of the dice is 4, 6, 8 or 10 and the number of each die is different (for example 3/5 or 4/6).
- Hardway
- When the dice show double numbers (for example 2/2 and 4/4).
- Hot Roll
- When a shooter plays for a long time without hitting a 7.
- Hot Table
- A table where the players win a lot.
- Insurance Bet
- When a player makes several bets that partly cover each other.
- Little Joe
- The roll of the dice is 2/2.
- Loaded Dice
- The weight of the dice influences the roll in an inappropriate way.
- Midnight
- When you bet the next roll of the dice will show a 12.
- Natural
- When the come-out roll shows a 7 or an 11.
- Parley
- When a players lets a winning bet ride.
- Press a bet
- When a player doubles or parleys a bet.
- Sequence Bet
- A bet that might not be decided in one single roll of the dice.
- Seven Out
- When the shooter hits the 7 after his point number has been established.
- Snake eyes
- When the roll of the dice shows a 2.
- Vigorish
- The commission the house takes on certain bets.
- Yo
- The number 11 can be confused with the number 7. To avoid this the term "Yo" or "Yo-leven" is used.
